On March 12, 2019, the container ship sank after a fire. The fire started among the containers and spread to neighboring ones. After a long fire, the ship sank under the waters of the Strait of Biscay, off the western coast of France. The ship was traveling from Hamburg, Germany, to Casablanca in Morocco. The ship carried 464 containers and cars. 26 crew and 1 passenger were rescued by HMS Argyll and taken to Brest.
