On March 5, 2023, the ship ran aground at kilometer 78 of the Suez Canal. A couple of hours later, tugboats Port Said, Mosaed I, Mosaed 2 and Mosaed 5 were able to pull the container ship afloat. At this time, all ships arriving from the west were redirected to the Eastern Canal. Whether the ship's hull was damaged is not known. No casualties or oil spills have been reported.
