On February 22, 2023, the ship sank off Lopez Island, the San Juan Archipelago, off the northwest coast of Washington State. The tug was accompanied by a train of a barge and a crane. He also had about 400 gallons of fuel on board, which ended up in the water. The tugboat began the next day. The reasons for the incident are not known. No casualties have been reported.
