On January 15, 2023, as part of a 290-foot barge, the tug wrapped something around the propellers off Maryland, thereby losing the ability to maneuver. The train broke down in bad weather about 30 miles from Ocean City. And the crew had to send a distress signal. All crew members were rescued by a Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter. The fate of the tug and barge is not reported.
