The ship was pulled from the roadstead to the shore. 

 

    During a storm off the west coast of India, an unladen ship was washed ashore near the Colaba Fort in the Raigad district. 

 

    15 crew members were evacuated by helicopter to the shore due to the dangerous situation in which the ship found itself. There are no reports of casualties or injuries. It is not known whether the ship was damaged. 

 

    A major salvage operation is pending to return the ship to the sea. A diving inspection will reveal damage.
