On April 15, 2024, the ship ran aground offshore Egypt in the Gulf of Aqaba due to engine failure. The tanker was refloated. The ship is now detained in the port of Sharm el-Sheikh until the investigation and assessment of environmental damage are completed. There are no reports of water leaks or oil spills.
