On August 24, 2023, the ship capsized and sank after colliding with the container ship Contship Uno. The collision took place near Wakayama Prefecture, in western Japan. The bulk carrier was transporting 1,100 tons of scrap metal From Chiba Prefecture to Hidaki Prefecture, Wakayama. All 5 crew members went overboard, 2 of them are missing.
