On June 20, 2023, the Portuguese police detained two armed citizens who held the team hostage for 10 days. According to preliminary information, 2 Syrian citizens boarded the ship on June 10 in the port of Turkey. And, threatening with knives, they seized the ship. The team managed to fight off the attackers and sound the alarm. There were no casualties among the crew.
