On June 2, 2023, the ship ran aground on the rocks near Darcy Island at the end of the Beara Peninsula. The ship was able to be taken off the rocks at high tide. There is no information about damage to the hull. There was no oil spill. The grounding occurred due to a broken steering. The rescue helicopter took off 9 crew members, except for the captain and mechanic, who decided to stay on board. No casualties have been reported.
