the ship sank in the South Atlantic,
approximately 200 nautical miles off the coast of the Falkland Islands. The trawler began to take on a lot of water, forcing the crew to move to a life raft in extreme weather conditions.
In response to the distress signal, the rescue service launched a search helicopter. Two more fishing vessels were also redirected to this area.
There were 27 crew members on board. A Falkland Islands police boat rescued 13 members from one life raft.The fishing vessel Good Samaritan rescued one survivor and found one deceased crew member. Another 7 bodies were found at sea.
