On May 17, 2023, the ship ran aground near Belle Isle. The incident occurred on the first voyage of the ship. The bulk carrier was carrying salt from Cleveland to the port of Milwaukee. The ship was released after 4 hours, with the help of a tugboat. The reason for the grounding is said to be a temporary power outage. No casualties or oil spills have been reported.
