On February 18, 2023, the ship ran aground off Mawson Station, Antarctica. The vessel received minor damage to the ballast tank after contact with the Antarctic station. The ship was chartered by AAD to replace the icebreaker RSV Nuyina, which was decommissioned due to a breakdown. There is no danger to the crew, no one was hurt.
