On January 16, 2023, the ship ran aground in the Bosphorus Strait, near Umuren. The bulk carrier made a flight from Ukraine to Istanbul. Due to the incident, traffic along the Bosphorus was stopped. 3 tugs Kurtarma-5, -8, -9 went to the rescue to remove the loaded bulk carrier from the shallows. The reasons for the grounding are not reported, as well as the nature and extent of the damage. There are no casualties or spillage of oil products.
