On January 31, 2022, in a severe storm off the coast of IJmuiden, the Netherlands, the ship broke anchor and was dragged into a drift. As a result of the incident, the bulk carrier collided with the Pechora Star tanker and was seriously damaged. Due to the threat of flooding the ship, the entire crew, 18 people, were evacuated by helicopter. The rescue operation was led by the tugs Sovereign and Multratug 18, which they were able to drag the ship in distress to the port of Rotterdam.
