On November 26, 2023, during stormy weather, a bulk carrier collided with the ship Matros Pozynich as the ship was leaving the Kerch Strait. After which, the interlocking ships piled on the Kavkaz-5 ship. Nothing is known about damage to the vessels. No casualties or oil spills were reported.
