The activities of the shipbuilding enterprise Shimorsky Shipbuilding Plant are based on the production, sale, repair of ships of all types and classes, boats, boats, yachts (sailing/motor), fishing boats, cruise ships corresponding to the items of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. This is a top-end enterprise in Russia, providing a wide base of services: from ship settings, hull construction, to final decoration and operation. In 2013, for the first time in the history of the plant, a pleasure ship for passengers was built, accommodating up to 400 persons + VIP class to accommodate 150 people.
History of Shimorsk Shipbuilding Plant
The shipbuilding facility on Ladoga is located at the address: Nizhny Novgorod Region, Vyksa District, Shimorskoye PGT. Date of formation of the enterprise: 1927. Previously, the Shimorsky backwater was used as a winter parking point for ships. Over the years of its work, the company has made a significant contribution to the history of the formation of the Moscow River Shipping Company. Wooden non-self-propelled barges were built, then a self-propelled fleet appeared. The plant gave the world:
Barges made of metal of different lifting capacity;
floating workshops;
boat boats;
oil loading stations;
ships of the dry cargo category assembled according to the projects - "Oka" 4035, 617 (A), 425 and 560.
In the second half of the 80s, shipbuilding on Ladoga suffered losses, there were no government orders. But thanks to a good technical base: production areas, slips, slipways, ship repair continued. Craftsmen repaired crushers (cheek, cone, rotary, hammer), made belt conveyors, crushing and sorting machines, metal structures (bearing, enclosing type), screens for dispersing crushing products into fractions. It turned out to maintain a staff of professionals in the shipbuilding industry:
Ship collectors of metal hulls;
welding and cutting workers.
The masters broadcast the experience to beginners coming to work at the Shimorsky Shipbuilding Plant. And back in 1930, a factory school worked on the basis of the plant, where new personnel were trained. In its place now stands the Vyksa Industrial College, where young people are trained to work in the field of river shipping and not only.
The revival of shipbuilding began in 2006. More than 30 vessels were repaired. Dry cargo ships "Oka" became floating restaurants. A floating hotel and a large five-story building appeared. By order of Russian Railways, the Vympel motor ship was rebuilt, increasing the length by 7 meters. On passenger ships of the Moskva and Moskvich types, they renewed the cabin and wheelhouse, expanded the upper deck, added new premises and platforms for the boat. They put a new ladder, changed crinoline. The vessels became VIP class yachts. The most notable project is the Moscow Ecologist, which was launched in May 2012. The ship has no analogues in Russia. This is a laboratory, and a scientific and educational center that allows you to take on board up to 40 passengers. In 2014, the plant applied for two tenders and both won.
The ship repair enterprise in the village of Shimorskoye was managed by Anatoly Ivanovich Chelyshev. From the plant began his career after studying at the Gorky School. Anatoly Ivanovich devoted 29 years to his favorite work. He now holds the title of Honorary River Transport Worker. The last general director of the enterprise was Oleg Mikhailovich Afenin, who worked at the plant for many years, namely on crushing and grinding equipment. He began as a locksmith and reached the director's chair. In the future, Oleg Mikhailovich planned the construction of any ships weighing 1 to 1.5 thousand tons and dimensions from 11 to 120 m.
Activities
In winter, the plant performed current and medium repairs of ships, in the summer it was engaged in capital repairs.
Shimorsky Shipbuilding Plant repaired:
Dry cargo ships (motor ships with a capacity of up to 380 l/s);
barges with a total lifting capacity of up to 1000 t;
technical fleet with capacity up to 500 cubic m/h.
Products
Conversion of different vessels. And their modernization;
repair of steering equipment;
electronics development;
installation of ship systems;
restoration and treatment of intermediate and propeller shafts, screws;
construction of landing stages and vessels. For example, a research vessel related to the technical fleet was being assembled to monitor the state of Lake Baikal and the environment. The data were used by the Federal Agency for Hydrometeorology. The project was developed by the design bureau of the River Fleet;
freight transportation services by road and river transport;
provision of a site for unloading of different types of cargo, including bulk cargo;
all types of ship repair on the slip in accordance with the requirements of the Russian River Register.
If we talk about the shipbuilding enterprise Shimorsky Shipbuilding Plant, then it had a full technological base to meet the requirements of customers. In addition to ship repair and construction, projects were developed at the plant. Ultrasonic equipment was used for detection. If earlier a winch and almost the entire labor force of the plant were required to lift the ship, later this was done with the help of a slip in a few hours.
