Today the Arkhangelsk EW of the fleet this the oldest the enterprises for ship repair of various class in the Arkhangelsk region. The enterprise constructed at the beginning of the 1920th during the existence repaired thousands of vessels various displacement. The location of a shipyard was defined practically at once, the Isakogorsky backwater was chosen absolutely not accidentally, exactly here the most part of vessels became on a sediment in winter season. At the same time at the initial stage the enterprise had only one wooden smithy and also a warehouse and the building in which repair work was directly performed. For more than century history the enterprise several times changed owners, passed various stages of modernization, however and now it is one of the best shipyards, and is far outside the Arkhangelsk region.

The Arkhangelsk EW of the fleet today is a shipyard of a wide profile, it not only ship repair, but also a set of other services, as for Russian, a tic and for foreign customers.

Today every year on this ship shipyard the survey of not self-propelled and self-propelled fleet is repaired not only, but also. At the moment on repair and survey there are 19 vessels, and on average within a year at the enterprise repair from 50 to 60 vessels of different function is carried out. Besides, at the enterprise there is everything not only for carrying out repair work, but also for vessel construction, at the same time thanks to existence of all necessary infrastructure, quality vessel construction is possible. The proof of it is the fact that from 1998 to 2011 several dozen vessels, and not only for domestic, but also for foreign customers were constructed. For this period on ship-building shipyard 32 vessels for customers were constructed of Norway, Holland and Germany. And it were vessels of different function: cases for fishing vessels and self-propelled tankers, bilge barges and sea pontoons. However after crisis of 2008 of new orders from the foreign companies didn't arrive.

About enterprise capacities

Ship repair is the main field of activity of the company as is historically developed, but the shipyard has also a vast experience of vessel construction. Taking into account fast development of the Arctic shipbuilding in Russia (because of developments the navigable direction), the enterprise was focused on him. Today's mission of the enterprise is to become the company rendering a full range of services from development of the project of the vessel before construction of the vessel and its descent to water. And at the same time at the enterprise there is everything for high-quality shipbuilding. Experts who can perform works of a wide range, it work at the enterprise: painting and metalwork operation, case operation and also works on installation and setup of the modern equipment. Having become the enterprise of a full cycle, the company will be able not only to make vessels of various class at own capacities, but also further to serve already constructed vessels. As experts will better know how to repair vessels which were them and are constructed. Besides, it will be much simpler to modernize vessels and to retrofit under specific goals of the customer.

Today the main customer requirement is carrying out repair work or construction of the vessel in the mildest terms without loss of quality. The enterprise considers modern requirements therefore at a stage of coordination the development of the schedule of works which practically doesn't change further is carried out. Such approach to work is one of advantages of the company the Arkhangelsk EW of the fleet.

The Arkhangelsk reasonably operational base is a repair all the year round. The enterprise can perform works on vessels up to 2.5 thousand tons, long up to 130 and up to 20 meters wide. Generally these parameters belong to vessels of river type. At the same time except repair on a slip the specialists of the enterprise can carry out service of the vessel, perform repair work with departure on the parking lot of the vessel and equip additionally it under the customer's purposes. The shipbuilding plant has the following capacities:

There is a covered shed, the forge site and the case and welding shop.

Assembly and welding and korpuso-procuring sites.

Metalwork and machine sites.

Machine-assembling and pipeline sites.

Sites of repair of diesels and building up of shafts.

Also there is a slip with inclined Part G-300 on zh.b. the basis, with his help it is possible to lift vessels in the tonnage to 2.5 thousand tons, draft up to 3.5 m and up to 130 m long. Length of building berths of 1300 running meters, width of 50 meters, and is long 225 meters. On his horizontal part there are two cranes with a loading capacity up to 20 t. and two more cranes with a loading capacity of 8 t. As you can see, enterprise capacities really allow to perform works of varying complexity and a wide range for this reason the Arkhangelsk shipbuilding can't be presented without this enterprise today.
