    Florida state authorities announced the purchase of a burned vessel for $740,000. The purpose of the purchase is to create an artificial reef by sinking the remains of the boat off the coast of Florida Gulf.

The vessel was damaged by fire. 

 

    The fire started in the engine room. The burning vessel was towed to the nearest pier, where the fire continued for another 4 days. As a result, the vessel burned out completely. 

 

    The crew was unable to extinguish the flames. All 91 passengers and 17 crew members were evacuated to the vessel Good Samaritan.
