On July 7, 2024,

the ship suffered a fire in the engine room while it was approaching Palma de Mallorca. The fire is being fought by the crew and coastal fire crews, who were brought on board by helicopter. At the moment, the open flame was localized in the engine room, but not extinguished. The fire cut off power to the ferry and left the ship adrift in the Mediterranean Sea, after which 350 passengers were evacuated by the Spanish coast guard.
