The ship honors Cipriana Oujo Maneiro, Josefa Parada and María Fernández Oujo. Three women who sailed in a small boat and rescued 58 of the 271 passengers and crew of the Santa Isabel shortly after it sank off the Spanish island of Salvora on January 2, 1921.
The tug was designed by Spanish naval architecture firm Seaplace to Bureau Veritas class regulations.
