On October 29, 2023, two tugs from the Sentry and Limetree Bay salvage service pulled the ship off the reef. At the same time, lubricants and flammable substances were removed from the board in advance to prevent contamination. The rescue service also provided the vessel with pumps to pump out incoming water from the engine room and steering compartments. The ship was docked at St. Louis. Divers also removed thousands of pounds of debris from the coral reef around the ship.

On October 4, 2023, the ship ran aground south of St. Louis Thomas. At first, the ship began to take on water in the engine room. The reasons are not yet known. All 12 crew members were evacuated by the coast guard.
