    The vessel is preparing to be transported from the Netherlands to new owners in China. 

 

    The car carrier was bought by Qingshan Shipyard Group. The Damen shipyard in Rotterdam stripped the car carrier of many of its decks. But now the vessel is ready for safe towing to the shipyard in China for further restoration.

 

On July 26, 2023,

 

    the ship was damaged by fire off the coast of the Netherlands.

 

    The fire started on the cargo deck and spread to adjacent decks. The ship was on a voyage from Bremerhaven to Egypt with a cargo of 2,857 vehicles. 23 crew members were rescued, 16 of them were hospitalized with respiratory complications. 1 crew member was killed.
