On July 15, 2023, the ship suffered an engine failure in the waters of Baluk-Baluk Island, Basilan. The ferry made a trip to Bongao, Tawi-Tawi from the city of Zamboanga. At the time of the breakdown, there were 342 passengers on the ship. The crew managed to repair the engine while the ship was drifting.
