On March 4, 2023, the ship suffered a main engine failure. About 30 minutes after the ferry left the Isla Mujeres terminal, it lay adrift. Now the ship is drifting towards Isla Blanca, at the risk of running aground. The cause and nature of the damage is unknown. There were no casualties.
