On 21 June 2024, after losing steering control, the vessel ran aground on New Zealand's South Island, 1.5 nautical miles north of Picton in Titoko Bay. No casualties or oil spills were reported.
On February 13, 2023, the ship encountered an engine failure. The incident occurred in the Cook Strait, the ship first drifted off course 1.8 miles southeast of the Tory Channel. Ship mechanics managed to restore the car and the ship continued its voyage. The reasons for the breakdown and the nature of the damage are not disclosed. The ferry had to change its route and is now heading for the northern entrance to the Queen Charlotte Sound. No casualties.
