Bali: Double explosion on tanker claims lives

A series of explosions occurred on the vessel Elisabet Satu. 

 

    During the first explosion, which thundered in the residential area, the tanker was 10 kilometers from the city of Manggis. After the second explosion on the vessel, a strong fire began in the engine room. 

 

    The vessel was making a voyage with diesel fuel on board. The fire was extinguished by the rescue service. After the fire, the tanker remained afloat. 

 

    As a result of the accident, 15 people were injured, they received burns of varying severity, and 5 died, the engine crew was unable to escape the fire. Three sailors are in critical condition due to severe burns and breathing problems.
