Russia: Emergency department eliminates smoke on R/V in Arkhangelsk

    Smoke occurred on the Grigory Mikheyev vessel while moored in the port of Arkhangelsk.

    The smoke started in the engine room, the reasons for which are not disclosed. And was eliminated by the EMERCOM forces. There are no reports of damage to the vessel or casualties.

    The Arkhangelsk Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into this fact: the department is investigating all the circumstances of the incident. It will also check compliance with fire safety requirements.
