Philippines: Bunkering vessel sank during storm

On July 24, 2024,

 

the Terranova sank during stormy weather off the coast of the Philippines.

 

    There were 1,500 tons of heavy fuel on board. There is a large stain on the sea surface from a fuel spill. The Coast Guard warns that the slick could reach the coast of Manila.

 

    Of the 17 crew members, the rescue service was able to save 16. 1 person is considered missing. 4 people are in serious or critical condition.
