Russia: Dry cargo ship accident with bridge

On May 26, 2024,

as a result of a steering failure, the ship Zelenga

crashed into the span of a railway bridge in Rostov-on-Don. The cargo ship was loaded with ferrous metal and was heading to the port of Crimea for unloading. But he couldn’t get into the drawbridge. The wheelhouse and superstructure were badly damaged.  There was no oil spill. There were no reports of damage to the bridge.
