South Africa: Fishing vessel runs aground

On January 6, 2024, the fishing vessel Elke M. ran aground on the rocks at Shark Point, St. Francis Bay. The crew of 24 people escaped from the ship on life rafts and were later picked up by other ships. No casualties were reported.
