Engine failure on a bulk carrier in the North Sea

On October 22, 2023, the ship Sergey Bodrov suffered from an engine failure in the North Sea. The bulk carrier was making a voyage from Murmansk to Rotterdam. The ship was drifting very close to the Ekofisk oil field, prompting the Norwegian Coast Guard to send rescue tug Noggv Bergen to help, which took the ship in tow. There are no reports of casualties.
