New vessels on the site - Projects 488/AM4, 488/AM2, 488/A, type Sormovsky

Dry cargo vessels of Sea-River class with engine room and residential superstructures in the aft part, having double sides and double bottom, 4 holds with hatch closures. Designed for the first-class bulk, bulk and general cargo. The same project 1557, the modernization of the Portuguese building, namely the wheelhouse of a modified structure, a longer hull and more powerful drivers, and the top is to increase the carrying capacity. A characteristic feature is the reduced collapse of the sides in the bow. 488/AM4 also received a self-propelled boat and a more modern residential superstructure, like the last series produced. The construction of these projects was carried out from 1978 to 1990. A total of 25 fleet units were built in three series of 448/A, 448/A2, 448/A4.
