The key goal

- is to ensure the safety of the population on water bodies. All-Russian Society for Rescue on Waters, which was included in the program "Water Strategy VOSVOD for the period up to 2020". 

    Today, this work is necessary, as during the foundation of the society in 1872. But despite the indisputable successes and the decrease in the number of drowned people, and according to statistics in 1995 - 20,378 people, in 2001 - 17,634 people, these efforts were aimed at reducing these figures. 

    This was possible with the correct preventive work among the population on swimming training, first of all for the younger generation and first aid. The organization is interested in having as few drowning people as possible. 

    And with the purpose of deployment with government agencies, additional stations and posts were built so that in the event of an emergency, a person could be saved. It is also necessary to continue the formation of a culture of behavior of the population on water bodies.
