Marine Expeditionary Research Center (Pacific Fleet Base)
The Center for Marine Expeditionary Research was formed on the basis of the Institute of Oceanology named after P.P. Shirshov.
The Marine Expeditionary Research Center is a collection of structural divisions of the Institute, which includes: the fleet department, the scientific coordination department, the data storage department, as well as the Atlantic fleet base and the Pacific fleet base.
The goal of the center of marine expeditionary research is to ensure the effective use of the research fleet, to ensure the conduct of marine scientific expeditions.
Currently, the scientific fleet has about 13 vessels. They are equipped with modern navigation systems, scientific instruments and equipment for conducting expeditions.
