The North Sea Museum and Exhibition Complex is a modern cultural institution, as well as a visiting card of the city of Severomorsk. The city of Severomorsk is famous for the fact that it houses a port on the shore of the never-freezing Kola Bay in the Barents Sea. The naval base of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation is also located here.
This museum was opened in honor of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Fleet. From the first days, the museum became an integral cultural part of the city. For many guests of the city of Severomorsk, acquaintance with the city begins with this very museum.
The exposition of the Severomorsk Museum and Exhibition Complex consists of several sections: the history of the construction of Severomorsk and exhibits of the new section "Fauna of the Kola Arctic."
Now there are more than 7,000 museum objects in museums. These are documents, photographs, rewards, personal belongings of North Americans.
