The Russian Chamber of Shipping is the successor of ASK and SOROSS.

Currently, the chamber includes 81 organizations of sea and river transport, of which 55 shipping companies, the total deadweight of the fleet operated by them is about 20 million tons, including vessels under the Russian flag, engaged in international shipping 2.24 million tons.

The main objectives of the Russian Chamber of Shipping are to protect and promote the interests of member organizations at both the national and international levels, as well as to improve the image of Russian shipping in general, and to promote the development and renewal of the sea and river fleet.
