The year 1926. As part of the North-Western River Shipping Company, the Kimry Marina is being created. The boundaries of the operating zone of the marina spread from the mouth of the Medveditsa River to the city of Konakovo (in those years, the city of Kuznetsovo).

Until 1994, the port of Kimry was an integral part of the port of Kalinin. During the privatization of national economic enterprises in the country, the Kimry port in 1994 became part of the Moscow River Shipping Company, an open-type joint-stock company, and became known as the Port Kimry branch of IMP. And in 2001 it was transformed into a Limited Liability Company - Port Kimry LLC of MRP OJSC.

Port Kimry LLC is one of the largest transport river enterprises in the Moscow-Oka basin and is part of the group of companies of the Moscow River Shipping Company.
