Onega Sea Port, located on the right bank of the Onega River, at its confluence with the Onega Bay of the White Sea, is the largest transport enterprise in the city of Onega.
The port of Onega navigates from May to the start of ice breaking, in November, and the rest of the time is not available for ships. The approach channels and fairways to the port berths are 12 miles long. The entrance to the Onega River is carried out along the eastern Karelian fairway, the depth of which is up to 5.2 meters.
