The first issue of the newspaper was published back in 1931, when a new direction of multi-circulation newspapers developed.

    Then this type of media was called departmental, and today they received a new name - corporate publications.

Today, Sailor produces the Marine Information Company, whose correspondents are well known both on ships and in the coastal divisions of OJSC NSR.

    "Sailor of the North" is not only the story of the oldest shipping company captured in the newspaper pages, the fate of the people who worked in it, this is the present day of the shipping company, full of big and small events.
