The Interregional Maritime Trade Union opened the International Maritime Club for seafarers in St. Petersburg. The club was opened in accordance with the International Maritime Labor Convention, 2006, to ensure rest for seafarers ashore.
The club's program includes sports events, excursions around St. Petersburg, transportation services, club events, organization of legal, social and other assistance to seafarers, and, if necessary, provision of a hotel.
In order to more fully ensure rest for seafarers ashore, the Interregional Maritime Trade Union cooperates with the Maritime Administrations of the ports of St. Petersburg, ship agents, and studies the needs and possible complaints from seafarers. It also closely cooperates with the Consulates of the states represented in St. Petersburg and various religious missions.
We are always open to cooperation. We will be glad to establish communication with seafarers' clubs in various ports of the world to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the Maritime Labor Convention concerning the social and domestic services for seafarers ashore.
