The Lesosibir port was formed by order of the Ministry of the River Fleet on January 15, 1975 on the basis of two marinas - Yeniseisk and Maklakovo. The enterprise was built mainly for the needs of the Norilsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant.

More than 600 people work in Lesosbir Port JSC. Many were awarded Letters of Thanks and diplomas of the Ministry of the River Fleet, the Administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the city of Lesosbirsk. Over the 37-year history of the port, more than 100 workers have received government awards.

Over the past years, the port of Lesosbir has been steadily increasing capacity. The development of the mining industry of the Lower Angara region, as well as the beginning of industrial development of oil and gas fields in the northern territories of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, opens up long-term prospects for the main transport hub of the Middle Yenisei.
