In 2014, a new design bureau began operations in Nizhny Novgorod, specializing in complete shipbuilding design.

    The design bureau is a division of Yaroslavl Shipyard OJSC and is primarily focused on engineering support.

    The shipyard was opened in Nizhny Novgorod to facilitate the construction of new shipbuilding facilities and specialized universities training shipbuilders in various fields.

    The design bureau's main activities include:

1. Carrying out research and development in shipbuilding;

2. Developing a technical proposal and architectural and artistic design for a vessel;

3. Developing a preliminary design for a vessel;

4. Developing design documentation for a vessel under construction;

5. Developing a technical design for a vessel;

6. Selection and expert services for the procurement and selection of component equipment and materials;

7. Preparation of technical specifications for the supply of component equipment and materials;

8. Conducting inclining and weighing tests and providing designer's supervision during ship construction.

    The Yaroslavl Shipyard Design Bureau (YSZ) sets itself serious and complex goals for its development and invites specialists of various levels of training and qualifications to participate in modern design in the following specializations:
