The interclub is visited by crew members from a variety of countries, but most visitors come from India and the Philippines.

According to the center's administrator, Vitold Yatskevich, the sailors especially love organized excursions to Novorossiysk and beyond - they travel by bus to Abrau-Dyurso, to the Feodosius of the Caucasus spring in the village of Gorny, to the Eternal Flame on Heroes' Square. And they always have a great interest in the culture, history and religion of Russia.

However, what is more important in the interclub is not so much entertainment as the opportunity to take a break from work on board and the sometimes tense atmosphere that reigns there.

Now, during the coronavirus pandemic, when many sailors are staying on ships for too long, this is especially significant. According to Vitold Yatskevich, psychological difficulties among crew members can begin after the first month of work on board, not to mention contracts extended to 12 months or longer.

However, due to the current situation, at the very moment when seafarers especially need rest on shore, they are often deprived of it due to existing restrictions and precautions.

Nevertheless, in the last four months, the center has received guests from various countries, although in a significantly smaller volume. And recently, its assistance helped a Chinese seaman get the medical care he needed. A crew member of the bulk carrier "Interlink Equity" suffered from severe toothache, the Novorossiysk port authorities gave the go-ahead for him to go ashore, and it was the bus of the International Maritime Center that took him to the clinic.
