The branch carries out the following activities in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation:

    The organization and coordination of execution of avariynospasatelny readiness of forces and funds to search and rescue of people from vessels and objects, in distress at the sea, irrespective of their departmental and national identity in the poiskovospasatelnykh regions of the Russian Federation and elimination of oil spills from vessels and objects irrespective of their departmental and national identity in the sea areas which are under jurisdiction of the Russian Federation.

    Performance the avariynospasatelnykh of works at the sea, other water objects, on coastal objects and on the land, the organization and carrying out at the sea and other water objects ship-raising, forwarding towing, the podvodnotekhnicheskikh and other diving works, works on removal of vessels and other objects from a bank.

    Performance the podvodnotekhnicheskikh of works (including, all types diving) on mooring lines, hydroconstructions, on underwater pipelines, oil loading terminals and other objects in the territory of the Russian Federation and beyond its limits.

    Organization and implementation of maritime transport of goods and passengers, transport of dangerous goods and transport of radioactive materials.

    Organization and implementation of road transport of goods as well as passengers by road transport equipped for transport of more than eight persons.

    Organization and implementation of towing by sea, as well as port towing using its own specialized vessels.

    Implementation of methodological support for the activities of maritime transport organizations aimed at meeting the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Russian Federation and international treaties of the Russian Federation in the field of protection of the marine environment.
