    The creation of the marine rescue service was adopted on August 23, 1956. Over the many years of its existence, the maritime service has undergone a number of structural and organizational changes, as a result of which the Maritime Rescue Service is currently part of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport. The service helps in the search for people in distress at sea. New branches are being opened throughout Russia, namely:

 



1. Azov-Black Sea branch;

2. Baltic Branch;

3. Kamchatka branch;

4. Kaliningrad branch;

5. Caspian Branch;

6. Kazakhstan branch;

7. Northern Branch;

8. Primorsky branch;

9. Tver branch;

10. Sakhalin branch.


 



 



    Over 60 years, the service has completed many unique operations, introduced the latest equipment samples and commissioned dozens of new ships. The organization continues to replenish the fleet today with new equipment.



    Such as:

1) Safety during offshore projects

2) Ocean and marine towing of vessels

3) Underwater engineering works

4) Deep-sea operations using underwater tele-controlled vehicles

5) Rescue operations in sea basins

6) Hydrometeo observations and environmental studies

7) Hydrographic works

8) Transport of dangerous goods, including radioactive in specialised tarachas

9) Training in a comprehensive training and training center.
