The port is located on the east coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula in the central part of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

    For loading and unloading ships, the port has specialized transshipment areas with covered warehouses and cargo platforms:

for bulk and timber cargo, scrap metal; 

for various general cargo, including temporary customs storage; 

for 20-40 foot containers, including temporary customs storage; 

for equipment and bulk grain.
