An intergovernmental organization that monitors certain public satellite communications security services provided through the Inmarsat satellites.

The organization was established by the International Maritime Organization under the Convention on the International Maritime Satellite Communication Organization, signed in London in 1976.

Currently, the Organization brings together 26 States that are located in various geographical regions of the planet.
