This is an institution of higher education for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of marine studies. 

    The university offers not only undergraduate studies, but also advanced degrees. 

    All programs of study present at the University of Texas are focused on ocean studies and include departments such as marine biology, marine engineering technology, marine research, etc.

    In addition to scientific programs, the university has a NROTC (Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps) unit, intended only for the Navy.
