The China Classification Society (CCS) is a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) and publishes its own rules and standards related to maritime safety.
These publications are generally available on the CCS official website and include classification rules, technical guidelines, circulars and other documents regulating the design, construction and operation of ships.
CCS publications can be divided into several main categories:
- Rules for Classification:
The main guidance documents defining the requirements for the design, equipment and systems of ships for assigning them to a CCS class.
- Technical Guidance:
Documents containing more detailed explanations and recommendations on the application of the classification rules.
- Circulars:
Documents informing about new requirements, changes in rules, as well as problems identified during the survey of ships.
- Other publications:
Includes manuals on various aspects of shipbuilding and operation, such as fire extinguishing systems, navigation equipment, automation systems and others.
