The Croatian Register of Shipping, also known as CRS, is an independent classification society founded in 1949. It is a non-profit organization working in the marine market, developing technical rules and controlling their implementation, risk management and the implementation of surveys on ships.

The Croatian Register of Shipping has been a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) since May 2011.

The CRS mission in the field of classification and mandatory certification is to promote the highest internationally accepted standards for the safety of life and property at sea and inland waterways, as well as the protection of the environment at sea and inland waterways.
